Tread (Video Game)
I worked with a group of students in my 4th year at Abertay University to help create the vehicle combat game Tread. This project allowed me to create my own dynamic vehicle engine in FMOD using layered rev recordings and pitch matching, along with a creative synthesis layer. This was also my first time creating a dynamic weapon, the chain gun, which has multiple stages to its firing sequence (charge/ firing loop/ cooldown). The music pushed me further into the electronic domain than i’d ever been, with tracks aiming to get the player’s adrenaline rising during combat.
